HB 1728 removes protections for veterans,
soldiers and others

H.B. 1728, the so-called “transgender rights” bill, is so badly worded it takes legal protections away from various groups of people who both need and deserve these protections. HB 1728, under Section 8, takes away legal protections from:

  • VETERANS
  • Members of the ARMED SERVICES
  • People in need on WELFARE

It also removes these protections from people based on:

  • CHILDREN
  • MARITAL STATUS
  • GENETIC INFORMATION

Do you really want to discriminate against veterans and soldiers who courageously served our country? Are you ready to remove protections from people who are married or have children?

Speaking of children, HB 1728 tramples on their right to privacy. No longer will women and children be able to feel safe in a public restroom. No longer will women and children be assured that the law protects them from men and predators who wish to do them harm.

HB 1728 is poorly worded and does much more harm than good.

Don’t be fooled into supporting this bill.
